Laguna Beach Live! presents a series of four acclaimed jazz groups bringing International Jazz to our Community. From Brazil to France and beyond, our talented musicians deliver their unique cultural take on jazz plus great straight ahead sounds. Presented in a delightful cabaret setting at the Woman’s Club of Laguna Beach, a bar and food will also be available for purchase.

The series will be every two weeks on a Tuesday evening, from July 16 to August 27. Concerts 6-8pm, doors open at 5pm for bar and food.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door or $100 for the full season .

Seating is assigned according to date of purchase, season ticket holders and Laguna Beach Live! membership.

AUGUST 27 – Brazilian singer and guitarist Téka fuses the sensual rhythms and harmonies of Brazil with the sophistication and improvisation of jazz – a fascinating musical blend she calls New Bossa.

Laguna College of Art and Design’s (LCAD) BFA program in Illustration is proud to pre-sent Transformations, an exhibition showcasing thirty-nine masterworks by contemporary narrative artist Donato Giancola.

Works exhibited range from Giancola’s early childhood drawings to his first interpretations on Middle-Earth, from his beginnings as a book cover artist in New York City to commis-sions for Magic:The Gathering, and from calendar art for George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) to a recent series exploring Empathetic Robots.

Consisting mostly of shots from other films, this documentary discusses the many representations of the city of Los Angeles in film and on television. Professor Thom Andersen compares the city as it exists in real life with its depictions on screen to examine how L.A. and its massive community have been misrepresented over the years. In addition to critical analysis, Andersen explains how directors portray the city itself as a character, and he also delves into L.A.’s dark history.

The Taste of Laguna Food & Music Festival combines two of our community’s favorite events, The Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Laguna and KX 93.5’s concert, into one mega evening for foodies and live music fans! This limited event will sell out, so get your tickets now and join us Oct 3, 2019 at The Festival of Arts Laguna Beach.

More than 30 local restaurants and award-winning chefs will showcase their most popular menu items, signature recipes, and speciality dishes. The festival stage will spotlight four decades of music (60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s) with a new cover band each hour. Whether you come early or stay late, this year’s party is going to rock more than ever before!
